About Heart Failure
- What You Need To Know
-
- Heart failure occurs when the heart muscle doesn’t pump blood as well as it should. This often causes fluid to build up in the lungs, causing shortness of breath.
- Cardiomyopathy refers to chronic disease of the heart muscle that makes it harder for the heart to pump blood to the rest of the body.
- There are many causes of heart failure and cardiomyopathy.
- It is a chronic condition, and we are passionate about helping you achieve the best possible outcome.
- Optimal management of other health problems is important.
- Prognosis depends on many factors such as age, cause of heart failure/cardiomyopathy, and the presence of other underlying health problems.
