On Monday, January 1st at 8:15pm in the evening, the Obstetrics Unit at Manchester Memorial Hospital (MMH) delivered its first New Years Baby a beautiful baby girl. Mia Reanna Hope Box was born 18.5 inches long and weighed 5 pounds 6 ounces, to her mother, Crystal Box, and father Arnold Box. In honor of the first birth of the New Year, the hospital was pleased to provide the parents with a gift package that included a car seat, a stroller, a playpen and many other essential items like diapers, wipes, outfits, drying mat, blankets etc. worth $500.
Manchester Memorial Hospital is committed to helping families have the best experience possible when delivering their newest member. In that regard, parents are provided with the opportunity to attend childbirth classes throughout their pregnancy. By attending the classes and delivering at MMH, families participating in the classes receive a new car seat and a keepsake plate, along with several other gifts.
The Hospitals Obstetrics Unit also provides massage therapy to mothers upon admission. Professional photography for new babies is available, as well as a trained lactation consultant on staff. With our well trained staff and experienced nurses, childbirth educators and lactation consultants, we seek to provide a family-centered delivery in a safe, comfortable environment, said Erika Skula, CEO.
Congratulations to the Box family on the new addition to their family.
