The College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) has named AdventHealth a 2019 Most Wired award winner, based on the results of its annual survey. The Most Wired program recognizes health care organizations that apply core and advanced technologies to their clinical and business programs to improve health and care in their communities.
“Our organization has prioritized the use of technology and innovation to elevate the care and services that AdventHealth provides. Being a recipient of the Most Wired recognition again is a testament to the level of adoption of IT applications and infrastructure to support the operations of AdventHealth as well as the talent and dedication of our AIT team members who support and maintain our systems,” said Brent Snyder, chief information officer for AdventHealth.
This is the seventh consecutive time that AdventHealth has earned the Most Wired designation. This year CHIME introduced a 10-level scale to benchmark participants’ level of adoption and outcomes achieved. AdventHealth earned Most Wired Certified Level 8, earning the Quality Award and special recognition at the 2019 CHIME Fall CIO Forum in November.
More than 16,000 organizations were represented in the 2019 Most Wired program. The surveys assessed the adoption, integration and impact of technologies in health care organizations at all stages of development, from early development to industry leading.
“Healthcare organizations across the globe are continually striving to raise the standard of care, pushing themselves and their peers to do better,” said CHIME President and CEO Russ Branzell. “We designed Most Wired to identify and share those leading practices so everyone can benefit. It is an honor to be among those that perform at the highest levels, knowing that the excellence they achieve will impact patients for years to come.”
