As students returned to the classroom, AdventHealth and team members donated nearly 1,300 backpacks filled with essential items such as paper, pencils, folders, and crayons to ensure local kids are fully prepared for the upcoming school year.
In partnership with various non-profit organizations, AdventHealth’s donated school supplies were distributed to area children in need throughout Flagler, Lake and Volusia counties.
As the only national, non-profit health care system headquartered in Florida, AdventHealth is one of the largest faith-based systems in the U.S. and is committed to extending its mission through sustainability initiatives supporting wholeness.

"As we continue to address the needs within our communities, we are dedicated to creating healthier lives and brighter futures for all,” said Audrey Gregory, PhD., RN, Executive Vice President and CEO of the AdventHealth East Florida Division. “Our mission drives us to go beyond traditional health care and make a lasting impact on the lives of those we serve.”
AdventHealth’s 2023-2025 Community Improvement Health Plans (CHIP) demonstrates this commitment. Studies show that 80% of health care outcomes are influenced by factors outside hospitals' walls, such as transportation, housing, food security, and workforce development issues.
