Adventist Health System (AHS) has named Christine Stewart, current vice president of communications and strategy management, to the position of vice president of organizational integration, effective Sept. 17, 2018.
In this new role, Stewart will help lead the cultural and business integration for newly acquired facilities and help expand awareness of Adventist Health System's mission to strategic partners. In addition, she will continue to support the readiness activities of iSynergy, AHS's enterprise resource planning solution, in the South Region of Adventist Health System's Central Florida Division, as well as facilities that join the organization in the future.
Stewart will report to Sandra Johnson, executive vice president and chief administrative officer for Adventist Health System.'
As our organization continues to expand to deliver on our brand promise of wholeness, it is important that we ensure every new facility and team member has a deep understanding of who we are and how we operate,' said Johnson. 'Christine's knowledge of Adventist Health System and experience at working with a broad cross-section of multidisciplinary teams will help us ensure deeper engagement and alignment from a mission and cultural integration perspective.'
Stewart has served Adventist Health System for more than 20 years in various leadership roles within communications, strategic engagement, community relations and leadership development. Since 2015, Stewart has provided executive oversight of communication strategies and operations, while also leading the strategic management team to support the organization's top initiatives. A nationwide search for her replacement will begin immediately.
'The people who make up Adventist Health System bring our mission of Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ to life,' said Stewart. 'I am honored to serve in this new role and excited to help further the organization's success.'
Stewart earned a bachelor's degree in business communication and public relations, as well as a bachelor's degree in family, child and consumer services, from Florida State University (FSU). Her work in transforming Adventist Health System's physician enterprise was recently highlighted in HFM magazine, a publication of the Healthcare Financial Management Association. Stewart is a member of the Society for Healthcare Strategy & Market Development and holds a practice certification in corporate citizenship from Boston College. She supports many community organizations and is a board member for Grace Medical Home.
Stewart and her husband Derek enjoy traveling, FSU football, music, and keeping up with their two school-aged sons.
