Florida Hospital Waterman has appointed Anita Young, MBA, CFRE, to serve as Chief Operating Officer. Young has served as the Florida Hospital Waterman Foundation President since 1996.
Anitas talent in relationship building and her mission driven focus are what makes her an exceptional asset to our team, says David Ottati, President, Chief Executive Officer, Florida Hospital Waterman. She has made a tremendous impact on our hospital and the community over the years, and we look forward to the skill and dedication she will contribute in the future.
Young first joined the Florida Hospital Waterman Foundation in 1988 and has achieved many notable accomplishments including spearheading the raising of $3.1 million to help build the Florida Hospital Waterman Cancer Institute and $5 million to build the Florida Hospital Waterman Heart Center. In addition to her Foundation role, Young has served as a member of the hospitals executive team for the past two years. During that time, she was instrumental in leading patient satisfaction and employee engagement improvements for the environmental services and food and nutrition departments, along with leading childcare, community primary health care clinic, CREATION Life and marketing.
Prior to joining The Florida Hospital Waterman Foundation, Anita worked in various healthcare-related positions at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina and Methodist Healthcare Systems of Memphis, Tennessee. She has a masters degree in business administration from the University of Central Florida and a bachelors degree from East Carolina University. She has been a Certified Fundraising Executive since 1997.

Young, and her husband of 33 years, Ron, are the proud parents a nineteen-year-old daughter and a seventeen-year-old son.
