Amber Bell, RN, BSN, has been awarded Gordon Hospitals prestigious Extra Mile Award. Bell is a charge nurse in the hospitals emergency department.
This special award was created by members of the hospitals Employee Engagement Committee to recognize employees who go above and beyond the call of duty on a regular basis. It is awarded monthly to deserving employees selected by the hospitals directors.
Bell, who has been employed by Gordon Hospital for nearly six years, said, "I am excited and thankful to receive this award. I have had so many wonderful opportunities with Gordon Hospital."
A Gordon Central High School graduate, Bell attended Young Harris College and Kennesaw State University, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Bell is engaged to be married to Alex Buckner. She enjoys learning, attending educational conferences for her career, and being involved in a nursing committee at the hospital.
"I feel very blessed to provide emergency care to our community," said Bell.
