Ricardo Santizo was awarded Gordon Hospitals prestigious Extra Mile Award. Santizo is an employee in the hospitals nutritional services department.
This special award was created by members of the hospitals Employee Engagement Committee to recognize employees who go above and beyond the call of duty on a regular basis. It is awarded monthly to deserving employees selected by the hospitals directors.
, who has been employed by Gordon Hospital for 16 years, said, I really like the teamwork that I experience at Gordon Hospital.
Ricardo is an employee who always goes the extra mile in his daily duties and sometimes others duties! said Andrew Punchard, director of nutritional services at Gordon Hospital. Ricardo never complains and is always willing to shoulder the workload and do the right thing at all times. He is organized and systematic in his approach to his workday and has been engaged in new menu planning and ordering responsibilities, which he executes without error. He is a great employee and very well deserving of this accolade.
I value that Gordon is a faith-based organization, said Santizo, and we have an almost family-like feel in the kitchen. I feel I belong here and I am appreciated for what I do daily. This is the best job I have had since coming to the USA.
and his wife have two sons, one daughter, and three grandsons. I want to voice a special acknowledgement to my daughter-in-law, who has been through a lot of loss and hardship recently concerning a loss of her unborn child, said Santizo.
