TAVARES, Fla. – Married couple Dr. Vatsal Inamdar, board-certified cardiologist and electrophysiologist, and Dr. Visali Kodali, board-certified cardiologist, have joined AdventHealth Medical Group Cardiovascular at Nightingale Lane, a prominent group of Lake County medical professionals specializing in cardiology and interventional cardiology.

As AdventHealth Medical Group physicians, they join more than 400 health care providers, including 250 primary care physicians and specialists in Flagler, Lake and Volusia counties.
The married couple met when they were 18 years old in medical school at Sri Devaraj Urs Medical College in Bangalore, India, and both Inamdar and Kodali have become highly experienced and widely published cardiovascular physicians.
At Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, New York, Inamdar completed his residency in internal medicine and a cardiology fellowship, while Kodali completed her internal medicine residency.
Inamdar went on to complete advanced fellowships in clinical cardiac electrophysiology at the Mayo Clinic and advanced echocardiography at the University of Alabama.

At this time, Kodali completed a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at the University of South Florida and a fellowship in cardiac CT/MRI at Saint Francis Hospital and Heart Center. This extensive training and expertise fueled Kodali’s passion for cardiac imaging, preventive care, and cardiac health in women.
Both physicians find the field of cardiac care fulfilling, as they have seen the evolution of cardiology care and how they can help improve patients' lives.
“For the generation before us, cardiac disease and heart attacks were often considered a death sentence,” Kodali said. “But that’s not the case today. There are now a number of treatment options for a variety of heart conditions.”
“It’s very rewarding to be able to restore patients’ quality of life,” Inamdar agreed.
The practice accepts most insurance plans and new patients ages 18 years and older. The clinic is located at 1879 Nightingale Lane in Tavares and can be reached at Call352-742-1171. For more information on cardiovascular care at AdventHealth, visit LakeCountyHeartCare.com.
