PALM COAST, Fla., November 9, 2016 On Oct. 28, Flagler Palm Coast High School students, faculty and staff wore pink to show support for breast cancer awareness.
During October, the high schools Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) club raised awareness and funds to support local breast cancer efforts.
The students made signs with different facts about breast cancer and posted them around the school. Additionally, they raised $500 with a pumpkin decorating contest, sold cookies, bracelets and shoelaces, as well as a silent auction this week.
I am proud of my FBLA students for their continued commitment to show their support for the Florida Hospital Flagler Foundations breast cancer awareness program, said Jodee Soltes, Flagler Palm Coast High School FBLA advisor and career and technical education teacher. I teach these business students the importance of giving back to the community in which we work and live in.
