Jade Ridley, RN, has been named AdventHealth Gordon's latest DAISY award recipient. This award is part of the DAISY Foundation's program to recognize the super-human tasks nurses perform every day.
Ridley, an obstetrical (OB) nurse at AdventHealth Gordon, was nominated by two coworkers who said the following:
“One of Jade’s patients had severe leg and foot pain, and Jade showered her, teaching her how to properly bathe and then scrubbed her feet which I know made the patient feel better about herself. Jade displays the healing ministry of Christ by caring for her patients and treating them the way she would want someone to treat her or her family. It’s important for someone to know they are making a difference, and I wanted Jade to know she is doing a tremendous job.”
“Jade was such an inspiration to me this week. She went above and beyond to care for her patients consistently. She places the heart of each patient above the standard expectations, and she brings light to those of us who work with her. She is a phenomenal example of what being a nurse really means.”
If you or a loved one have been a patient at AdventHealth Gordon and would like to nominate an extraordinary nurse for the DAISY Award, please call Call706-602-7800 x2258.
