Adventist Health System has named Tim Clark to the position of chief executive officer for Florida Hospital Apopka and Florida Hospital Winter Garden. Clark assumes leadership responsibilities for both hospitals, effective Aug. 13, 2018, and report to Tim Cook, who is currently CEO for Florida Hospital Apopka, Florida Hospital Winter Garden and Florida Hospital Altamonte. Cook will continue serving as CEO for Florida Hospital Altamonte and oversee the north and west markets of Adventist Health System's Central Florida Division-South.
'Clark has proven to be a strong and progressive leader, and his breadth of knowledge and experience in hospital operations and process improvement are evident in his track record of success. He recently played a key role in bringing Florida Hospital Apopka into its new and exciting chapter of care delivery, and I am confident that both facilities will thrive under his leadership,' said Terry Shaw, president/CEO for Adventist Health System.
Clark's health care career spans 15 years, all of which has been with Adventist Health System across various Florida Hospital campuses. He currently serves as vice president of operations for Florida Hospital Apopka and Florida Hospital Winter Garden. He played a key leadership role in the construction and opening of the new Florida Hospital Apopka campus, which replaced the more than 40-year old hospital that preceded it. The 320,000-square-foot facility, which opened in December 2017, features private inpatient rooms, advanced surgical suites, a catheterization lab and a 30,000-square-foot emergency department, bringing expanded services to the community.
'Having the opportunity to lead Florida Hospital Apopka and Florida Hospital Winter Garden is both an honor and a blessing,' said Clark. 'I am excited to continue working with our talented and dedicated caregivers, and we are committed to serving and supporting the care needs of the community as we fulfill our mission of Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ.'
Clark earned a master's degree in business administration from Webster University, and a bachelor's degree in business administration from Southern Adventist University. He and his wife, Sheena, have been married for 15 years and have a son, Ethan (10). Residing in the West Orange corridor, in his free time, he enjoys traveling and participating in various activities in the community.
