Feel Confident With Every Beat
Your heart sets your pace for life, and a heart valve disease diagnosis brings uncertainty to your rhythm. But those anxious feelings don’t have to stay. At the AdventHealth Cardiovascular Institute, we offer options for minimally invasive heart valve replacement.
Performed by board-certified cardiovascular surgeons and cardiologists, these lifesaving procedures make surgical heart valve disease treatment available to people who are high-risk for open-heart surgery — all so you can overcome heart valve disease and return to the people and life you love, feeling healed and feeling whole.
We’re here to help you find the right physician or a location that’s convenient for you.

Minimally Invasive Options With Powerful Potential
No medicines cure heart valve disease — at least not yet. While they can help manage your symptoms and delay complications, sometimes for many years, it’s likely surgery will eventually be needed. When you’ve reached that point, we offer a full range of minimally invasive procedures as an alternative to open-heart surgery.

MitraClip®
Small, safe and effective, MitraClip® may be an option for you if you have a leaky heart valve (mitral regurgitation) and are not a candidate for traditional surgery.
Much less invasive than open-heart surgery, MitraClip® results in less scarring and shorter recovery times.

TAVR
A safe option when surgery is not, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) replaces a damaged or diseased aortic valve instead of removing it.
Early Detection of Heart Valve Disease Saves Lives
Heart valve disease can be life-threatening. And knowing the signs of heart valve disease can get you to a doctor quickly for an evaluation and treatment. If you’re experiencing any of these symptoms, call 911 immediately:
- Chest pain
- Dizziness
- Fatigue
- Palpitations
- Rapid weight gain
- Shortness of breath
- Swelling in the ankles, feet or abdomen

Here for You, Here for Your Heart
There is hope for your heart. And we can help you find it. With innovative procedures like the MitraClip® and TAVR, we can support you in moving forward from heart valve disease, ready to get back to the life you love.
